So, this is the first official post to JesusLovesJapan.com, yeah!!! I am really excited about this website… it gives me a means to express and share about two things that are very close to my heart, 1) Jesus Christ and 2) Japan.
I first met Jesus while in college attending the University of Las Vegas and he completely changed and continues to change my life. I had no purpose, no direction, and no hope from personal despair I experience on a daily bases before meeting Jesus. As he gave me a new heart of hope, joy, and purpose he led me to Tokyo Japan for two years after graduating college with a desire to see others meet Jesus. As it stands now, less than 1% (probably 0.36%) of Japan’s population claims Jesus Christ as their God… over 99% of Japanese do not know who Jesus is, that he loves them, that he is very attentive to them, that he is God, the only God, who created them to experience true life to the fullest being in relationship with him.
I love Japanese people, I love their culture, and it is my deepest desire that Japan would know how wonderful it is to know Jesus Christ. This website brings two of my greatest passions together and it is my desire that Jesus would use this website to inform others of the ministry needs in Japan, provide resources for learning and understanding Japanese culture to better articulate the gospel, and see Jesus glorified in the hearts and minds of Japanese people.
Jesus, I don’t know what you are going to do with this web page, I am not a great writer or blogger or any of that. I love you though, and the life I have in you is my greatest treasure worth more to me that anything that is available to me in my existence (Matthew 13:44). I dedicate JesusLovesJapan.com to you Lord and ask that you would use it for your glory. I love you Lord, thank you.
