This YouTube video shows a Japanese high school boy’s encounter with a Christian guy who felt led to pray for the healing of his leg.
I first saw this when a few people from the Tokyo area tried to posted it on the Jesus Loves Japan Facebook page. Initially I deleted it until I could investigate the authenticity of the video and the people behind it.
After looking into it I then contacted the person who originally uploaded the video. He told me that he wasn’t the one who recorded it but received permission to post it on YouTube, the comments section was disabled however because the public reaction was “ridiculous.” The man who prayed for the boy, Brad, was from the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California. The group around Brad is with the YWAM ministry in Tokyo.
In the video, just after the boy’s leg is healed you hear him say “not ouch!” and asks “who are you?” Brad then tries to tell him that Jesus healed him along with a few others in the group.
I also contacted a friend in Tokyo who knows those associated with the video. In his opinion there was no way that this was staged and told me that sense then boy started going to a Christian organized high school youth group.
